We were so very proud to see Lyndhurst Primary School, Oldham appear live on This Morning on Wednesday 16th October 2019 demonstrating their British Sign Language (BSL) assembly.

BSL has been introduced across every year group to help support and improve communication with pupils with hearing impairments and in particular Mohammed Daud who needs BSL and sign supported English to access education.

During International Deaf Week the school celebrated by signing songs in assembly and now continue to implement this knowledge. As part of Lyndhurst’s commitment to this initiative, Amy Scoltock, a dedicated Education Communicator with over 10 years’ experience is now a member of staff.
